A little bit about me… I’ve been sewing since I was 4 years old (that’s a LOT of years ago now) and I love creating. I also love sharing what I know with others so that they can grow. The Regal Needle has been my business since 2006 when I started as an Etsy shop. Since then I’ve grown, shifted focus, and now… over 20 years later I’m starting over as an educational resource rather than commercial enterprise.
Why? Because my middle child’s college path just wasn’t working out and I’m a mom who would do (almost) anything to help my kids succeed in life. Also because the things they need to know for their career path can’t be learned in college and the one technical school that DID have the program they needed… Well… 2020. And I just happen to have 90% of the skills that the technical school would’ve taught them anyway, so what was the point in spending money to send them to a non-existent school or a university that was killing their spirit by inches when I have the equipment, materials, knowledge and ability to train the next generation…
So here we are. Here you are. I realized that if I was going to help curate course content for my child, why not use the resources and platform I already have and help others while I’m at it?
